Draw better outlines and dither (light source should be top-left or front). Then we can go from there.

Wow! Were these made by scratch? Cause it looks good for a beginner. Just need to darken the outlines.

Im guessing that you scanned in pokemon from the LG/FR guide, correct? and then downsized and attempted at recoloring? Also, try to use less shades, and darken the outline. Because you have so many shades, your sprites look rather flat.

Hm, no. They are based on Sugimori and colored in with the colors the species had in Anime. Thanks for the comments, though.

Sugimori? Oh I get it. Basically doing the steps in a different, cooler way than simply scanning and recoloring simple pictures. Bravo! Very nice.
