Battle Catacombs
The Battle catacombs are a series of natural and man-made tunnels and caves underground. The Pokémon that reside there are mostly Ground and Rock types, due to the earthly environment, but some Dark and Water type reside in the murky waters and dingy, unlit caves and tunnels. The deep caves can provide little light, and the lack of oxygen can slow Pokémon down and reduce accuracy even for the Pokémon that dwell there naturally.
The first challenge will be to navigate the caves to find the Ball Keeper, once found the ball keeper will take your Pokémon into temporary storage and give you a Pokémon from a select choice of Pokémon, they are listed at the bottom. You may only pick one Pokémon, and you may not use any items at all on the Pokémon. You are granted with 6 ‘Cave Balls’, available only to use in the catacombs. You may then search the caves to find and catch 6 Pokémon. Once you have 6 Pokémon, or the Pokémon you had chosen to battle the wild Pokémon with faints, you go back to the Ball Keeper and return any extra balls you have.
Once you have returned the balls, you are free to train the Pokémon within the catacombs, but, should you wish to leave, the Pokémon will be set free, as you may not keep Pokémon found in the catacombs. If and when you are happy with the Pokémon, you may go in search of the Frontier Brain, Cavern Mistress Suzette. Once you find her, you may battle her.
The battle will be against 3 random, non-legendary Kanto native rock type Pokémon and 3 ground type Pokémon. The battle will be over a lake, in a dark cave, making accuracy, evasion and speed stats lower than usual. All battle items are permitted during battle. Should you loose, you will return to the Ball Keeper and have to catch Pokémon all over again. Once you defeat the Frontier Brain, you will receive the Stalagmite Symbol. The Battle Catacombs are just north of the Sealeaf forest.
Ball Keeper Pokémon available to loan; Blatoise, Golbat, Polywrath, Machamp, Slowbro, Muk, Gengar, Seadra, Seaking, Starmite, Lapras, Ditto, Vaproeon,
Catacombs Native Pokémon; Sandshrew, Sandslash, Zubat, Golbat, Diglet, Dugtrio, Geodude, Gravler, Golem, Onyx, Cuebone, Marrowack, Rhyhorn, Rhydon.

Jonny, REJECTED. I told you that there were too many mistakes and you had to start a completely new one. This one is just an edit of the old one and it's nowhere close to what the Battle Frontier is really like. Come on, use some common sense. Is stalagmite a character trait or a type of mineral deposit?
You're a really good mapper, but you're not a very good writer or concept designer. I recommend you get better at what you're doing well already (I can't stop looking at your Kanto revamp maps) instead of trying to do something that you don't seem to understand.
This is exactly why we have separate writers, spriters, mappers, concept planners, and the like.
Anybody else want to try? I'll accept ideas if they're of decent quality.

Battle Pike
The Battle Pike is a large tube in the design of a snake. The inside is an incomprehensibly long, winded path full of wild Pokémon, items, and other surprises. The Bag will be inaccessible throughout the length of the path. Instead of items, the player will be able to pick items from the ground. These items, however, will be random so anything's possible. There may or may not be any Trainer battles or random sidequests here.
After a long and perilous journey, the player will be able to challenge Pike Queen Lucy for the Luck Symbol. The Battle Pike is located northeast of Fuchsia City, just outside the boundaries of the Safari Zone.

Wait, I saw those maps that Jonny Chleevas did. Does that mean that Kanto will be mapped out completely different? So much that it's not really Kanto it just has all of the same names and perhaps some new places? I'm not sure I want to play that. I mean don't get me wrong, this game is great, those new maps are great. But I was under the assumption that this game was eventually going to have as many regions in Pokémon as possible. Kanto, Johto, Orange Island's, Orre etc. But I was expecting them to be those regions, not anything different. I can understand the Orange Island's since they aren't in a game yet. But is it really necessary to remap entire regions? I also know you also seem to get questions about level 100's a lot but you don't really seem to address this. Why not? It should be quite important that Pokémon can go higher than level 100 since it's now possible in Pokémon essentials. Can you at least say that this game will have Pokémon higher than level 100 when the time comes? I like this game, but I find myself not wanting to continue with it until I get these answers. I support the game, but if Kanto is remapped or level 100 is the final cap then I'm not sure I want to continue playing. Thanks, I hope development with the game continues to go well

Jonny, REJECTED. FUG YOU! I told you that there were too many mistakes and you had to start a completely new one. This one is just an edit of the old one and it's nowhere close to what the Battle Frontier is really like. Come on, use some common sense. Is stalagmite a character trait or a type of mineral deposit? Mistakes, where? do tell, oh great moose. Its an edit because i said it was a good idea, HOF agreed, all you've been doing is putting wild pokemon in the original Battle Frontier, that is not original, that is stupid. The battle frontier is a challenge for the trainers and there pokemon, not a nice, challenge-25-trainers-and-do-another-one, that's the battle tower. Common sense, I'm offended, You need to relate the the 'Remember ORIGINALITY' thing you went on about. A stalagmite is a rock formation, as in rocks, as in caves, as in CATACOMBS!You're a really good mapper, but you're not a very good writer or concept designer. >offended< I recommend you get better at what you're doing well already >GREATLY OFFENDED< (I can't stop looking at your Kanto revamp maps) > cant decide whether that's a compliment or an insult< instead of trying to do something that you don't seem to understand. any GOOD points? This is exactly why we have separate writers, spriters, mappers, concept planners, and the like. And not allow room for expanding an area of expertise?Anybody else want to try? I'll accept ideas if they're of decent quality. >LOOKS AT MY POST AND SHOUTS<I really hate you now, you need to stop picking at the bad things, let nice get though youre skull and see the wider influence.

Do you have ANY common sense whatsoever? What do ability, guts, spirit, tactics, knowledge, and luck all have in common? Does stalagmite fit with those words?
Fine, I'll make a custom one to show you what I mean.

You think of something that relates to them that is based on caves and begind with S, and if thats your only argument, the name of the Symbol, why cant we use it?

A stalagmite is a mineral formation. All those other words are character traits.

It will be a way more exciting journey than the original video game by then and I hope you like it.

My oh my, it appears we have a forum rivalry on our hands. Moose, you really must learn to not rant about an idea. Instead, point out that stalagmites don't fit into the categories provided for Battle Frontier Areas. Johnny, you really must learn to take a hit or two when you have made a mistake. Im not one to judge, but both of you are really at fault, and neither of you will admit it. I mean, come on guys! Stop bickering like children, and move on. We're all mature people here. I think its time for apologies on both of your parts, and on my part too:
Sorry that I had to do this, but if I hadn't you'd both keep going on and on about this.

I've been saying that stalagmite doesn't fit because it's not a character trait. And besides, when you see other frontier symbols like Luck, Ability, and Guts, why would you even suggest Stalagmite? Common sense.

Soul will suffice, but I will still make drastic edits to your concept before I include it in the list.
